KINGSTON, Ont. (June 14, 2023) – Queen’s Women’s Volleyball is excited to announce Sarah Moss has joined the program as an assistant coach ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Moss joins the Gaels with a strong coaching resume, most recently serving as assistant coach with the University of Alberta and Volleyball Alberta.
At the University of Alberta, Moss helped guide the Pandas to a Canada West silver medal and U SPORTS Women’s Volleyball Championship bronze medal as an assistant coach in 2021-22. With Volleyball Alberta, Moss served as an assistant coach with the 16U Team.
Moss, a Volleyball Canada certified NCCP Trained Advanced Development Coach, has also been working on her Masters of Coaching at Alberta for the past two years, and served as an instructor for the Foundations of Volleyball course at the university.
“We are very grateful and excited to have Sarah join our coaching staff,” said Queen’s Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Ryan Ratushniak. “Her skill set as a coach will help drive our team culture forward and improve our team technically and tactically. Sarah has some great experience coaching, especially most recently as an assistant with the University of Alberta.”
Along with her coaching experience in Alberta, Moss has coached with Team Ontario in the Ontario Volleyball Association, including as a coach in the Team Ontario Online Academy in 2020 and as an assistant coach with Team Ontario Regional Program in 2019.
At the club level, Moss serves as a developmental aged high performance program coach with the Ottawa Mavericks.
Queen’s Women’s Volleyball open their 2023-24 season on Nov. 3 against the RMC Paladins.
