KINGSTON, Ont. (March 7, 2023) – Four Queen’s Women’s Volleyball players were recognized as OUA All-Stars for the 2022-23 season by the conference on Tuesday.
Lauren Mellon (Oakville, Ont.) and Hannah Duchesneau (Sharon, Ont.) were named OUA First Team All-Stars, while Mary Stewart (Uxbridge, Ont.) was named an OUA Second Team All-Star, and Kennedy Millin (St. Catharines, Ont.) was named to the OUA All-Rookie team.
Mellon, a middle in her fourth year with Queen’s, finished the season third on the team in kills with 127 (1.72 kills per set), while also adding 69 digs, 37 blocks, and 31 aces.
Duchesneau, an outside hitter in her second season with the Gaels, led Queen’s with 183 kills (2.69 kills per set), while adding 114 digs and 28 blocks.
Stewart, another outside hitter in her third season with Queen’s, finished the year with 163 kills (2.51 kills per set), 140 digs, and 22 blocks.
Millin, a first year setter, was second on the team in assists with 199 (3.98 assists per game), while adding 48 digs and 10 kills.
Queen’s Women’s Volleyball will play in the Quigley Cup Championship on Saturday, March 11 against the Brock Badgers in St. Catharines, Ont.
