Queen’s Volleyball start OUA Playoffs on the road

Queen’s Men’s and Women’s Volleyball will start the OUA Playoffs on the road this week, with the Men’s team visiting the York Lions and the Women’s team visiting the Western Mustangs.

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball finished the OUA regular season fifth in the OUA standings with an 11-9 record. The team will open their quest for the Forsyth Cup against the Lions on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 4 p.m. in Toronto, Ont.
 

The regular season runway has run out and the fight for the #ForsythCup starts next. Eight teams are set to embark on the challenge ahead, but only one will swing into the history books as #OUA champions. 🏐

The Gaels faced York twice in the regular season, losing both matchups. Queen’s lost 3-0 (23-25, 26-28, 23-25) on Jan. 6 and 3-0 (22-25, 23-25, 19-25) on Jan. 7 on the road against the Lions.

Queen’s Women’s Volleyball finished the OUA regular season seventh in the OUA standings with an 11-9 record. The Gaels will open their quest for the Quigley Cup against the Mustangs on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. in London, Ont.
 

The regular season has been served up, but there is plenty more action still to come on the courts en route to the #QuigleyCup, as eight teams fight for the chance to claim #OUA championship glory. 🏐

Queen’s and Western met twice in the regular season, splitting the series. In a doubleheader played at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC), Queen’s edged Western 3-2 (13-25, 25-20, 16-25, 25-23, 15-10) in Game 1 on Feb. 3 before falling 3-1 (17-25, 25-19, 15-25, 25-27) in Game 2 on Feb. 4.
