QUOTABLE
Ryan Hofer – TWU Head Coach
“Each year is a new year, and this team needs to learn how to play together. What happened last year isn’t going to transfer over to this year, so leaders are learning to lead, and players are learning how to handle pressure and perform in different environments. We’re trying to build an environment where we’re working together and supporting each other to bring out our best.
“I think we put a good serving package together tonight. There are some lows in our game that we can pick up and be tighter on.
“Each night we’re trying to measure ourselves based on our standards. I don’t want us comparing ourselves to our opponent. We’re trying to meet standards that can get us as deep as we can in the playoffs.”
NOTABLE
- The Spartans held the Dinos to a .120 hitting percentage. TWU hit .272 on the night.
- Kaylee Plouffe (Sherwood Park, Alta.) also hit efficiently, putting down six kills on ten errorless attempts for a .600 hitting percentage.
- The Spartans are 35-36 all-time against the Dinos, but TWU hasn’t lost to the U of C since Feb. 3, 2018. Since then, the Spartans have won 12 consecutive matches against the Dinos.
