Register Now for the 2022 International Coaching Symposium

Learn from some of the best international volleyball coaches and leaders at the upcoming coaching symposium.

Don’t miss out on your chance to learn from some of the best international coaches and leaders in the sport of volleyball. The 2022 International Coaching Symposium is being held June 9-12 in Ottawa. The symposium coincides with the Canadian Men’s Team hosting Volleyball Nations League in the capital.

The symposium is a live in-person event being held from Thursday to Sunday at Ottawa’s Algonquin College. There will be 10 sessions, both on the court and in the classroom. Learn from international coaches and leaders like Canada’s Glenn Hoag, and newly appointed Canadian head coach Ben Josephson. Renowned leaders in the sport such as Doug Beal (USA), Nikolay Jeliazkov (BUL), Michal Winiarksi (GER) will also be leading sessions of the symposium.

Registration includes tickets to all of the VNL games, plus bus transportation from the symposium to the competition venue. A residence accommodation option is also available.

There are flexible in person packages available or if you can’t make it to Ottawa. Sign up for the live streaming option ($200 Canadian) to gain access to the 10 one hour coaching sessions with this renowned international coaches, as well as free access to the presentations post event.

Emily is the Lead Editor of Momentum Volleyball. She is an experienced broadcaster as the Olympic Volleyball Commentator in London 2012 and Rio 2016. She is also an accomplished journalist with Embracing Ottawa, Ottawa Life Magazine, CBC Radio Canada and Global Television. Emily is also an accomplished volleyball athlete. She is a U Sports National Championship Silver Medallist 2005 & 2006, CanWest Championship 2006, CanWest Player of the Year 2006, U Sports All-Canadian 2005 & 2006​, and a Therese Quigley Award (U Sports WVB Top Student Athlete 2005). She won the Marilyn Pomfret Trophy (UBC Most Outstanding Female Athlete 2005), 5-Year Women’s National Team member (3-Year Team Captain) and played professional Volleyball in France​. Emily was inducted into the UBC Hall of Fame in 2017.
