The Paralympic Volleyball Federation of India (PVFI) organised and successfully conducted the 9th Sitting Volleyball National Championships from March 26 to 29 at the Jaat Dharamshala in the city of Bhiwani, located in the northern state of Haryana.
About 250 athletes and officials took part in the double-gender national sitting volleyball championships, which is quite a remarkable achievement in the development and promotion of paravolley in the South Asian country.
The State Minister along with PVFI President and PVAO South Asia Sub-Region Chairman Shri H Chandashekar graced the event as guests of honour.
The event was held in compliance with strict health and safety protocols by the Government.
World ParaVolley is recognized by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as the sole International Federation responsible for the governance, planning and management of volleyball for persons with a physical impairment.
