EDMONTON – Rookies Ronnie Dickson and Abby Guezen combined for six kills each, with sophomore Abby Moore adding six herself, leading the Alberta Pandas to a quick 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-14) win over Winnipeg.

Fifth-year Lauryn Tremblay added a game-high seven kills, as Pandas setter Justine Kolody ran an efficient and evenly-distributed offence. Kolody finished with 25 assists in the win, which took just over 70 minutes to complete.

The Pandas finished with 32 kills on just 78 swings, improving to 7-1 in conference play with a second-straight 3-0 win over Winnipeg.

The Wesmen, who managed just a .033 attack percentage, fell to 1-7 with the loss. Christine Kolbuck, Brooke Duncalfe, and Selva Planincic led the Wesmen with eight kills each, but the team committed 27 attack errors, including 21 from Kolbuck, Duncalfe, and Planincic.

Along with their potent offence, the Pandas added 11 team blocks in the win, with Dickson finishing with two solo blocks and four assisted blocks.

The winners of three-straight, the Pandas will visit the UBC Okanagan Heat next weekend in Kelowna.
