The Royals handed the Blues their first loss of the campaign, picking up an important four-set victory. They beat the Blues 25-23, 15-25, 25-19 and 25-23.
FRIDAY
Camosun Chargers 3
VIU Mariners 0
The Chargers went into VIU on Friday night and didn’t waste much time picking up the three-set victory 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.

The Royals completed the weekend sweep of the previously undefeated Blues. They scored another four-set victory on Friday winning 25-13, 25-17, 22-25 and 25-20.
CBC Bearcats 3
COTR Avalanche 2
It was a back-and-forth match that needed a fifth and final set before the Bearcats captured the victory. They beat the Avalanche 19-25, 25-23, 25-11, 22-25 and 15-13.
SATURDAY
VIU Mariners 3
Camosun Chargers 1
The Mariners had a bounce back match on Saturday after getting swept on Friday. Saturday afternoon they took out the Chargers in four sets, winning 22-25, 25-19, 25-22 and 27-25.
CBC Bearcats 3
COTR Avalanche 2
For the second straight match the Bearcats and Avalanche showed how even they are with another five-set thriller. The visiting Bearcats got the first set 25-19 before the Avalanche stormed back to take the next two 25-19 and 26-24. However, the Bearcats didn’t go away and came back with a convincing 25-14 victory to force the fifth set. Like Friday, the final set went back-and-forth before the Bearcats captured the 15-13 win and a weekend sweep.
