Capilano Blues @ Douglas Royals – Friday February 10, 6:00pm | WATCH HERE
It’s an intriguing match-up this weekend when the Royals host the Blues in a weekend double dip. Currently the Royals trail the second place Camosun Chargers by four points in the standings with three matches to play. This weekend is an opportunity for the defending PACWEST champion Royals to make a move as they host the sub-500 Blues and the Chargers battle the undefeated VIU Mariners.
The Royals are coming off back-to-back losses last week at VIU, which snapped a four-match winning streak. They haven’t seen the Blues since the first weekend of the season which they won in four sets in both meetings.
The Blues meanwhile are coming off a weekend split at CBC winning the first match in four sets, then losing the next match also in four. They know they will miss out on the PACWEST post-season and will use their final four matches to build upon heading into next season.

COTR Avalanche @ CBC Bearcats – Friday February 10, 6:00pm | WATCH HERE
Another weekend and another long road trip for the COTR Avalanche as they will play three matches in three days to wrap up the regular season. On Friday they play in the first of two straight at CBC when they face the Bearcats.
The Avalanche know they will finish fourth in the standings and face the top ranked VIU Mariners in the semi-final in two weeks. They will host the PACWEST championship tournament so they will have home court advantage.
This weekend, however, they face a Bearcats team that are looking to build upon for next season. The Avalanche are coming off a bye weekend and should be well rested for a busy weekend. In their first meeting in Cranbrook, the Avalanche swept the weekend beating the Bearcats in four, then three straight sets.
Speaking of the Bearcats they are coming off a weekend split against the Capilano Blues, winning their last match in four sets. This will be their final home weekend of the regular season and are looking to give the hometown fans something to cheer about.
