Both the Mariners and Bearcats open their final weekend of the first half on Friday night with an important match-up.
The Mariners have won three straight matches and are starting to play at a high level. They have been solid on the road this season at 3-1 which included a sweep last weekend at Capilano.
The Bearcats have been a bit inconsistent this season and are 2-2 this month. They were swept last weekend at home and are looking to turn this around beginning on Friday night in Abbotsford.

Just two points separates these schools in the standings as the Royals and Chargers enter the final weekend of play before the holiday break.
The Royals will be well rested after their bye last weekend and a sweep of Capilano at home. They have won three of four matches this month and are looking for more as they travel to the Island.
Meanwhile the Chargers are finally back at home after six straight on the road. They have won three of their last four matches including a pair of 3-0 sweeps last weekend at CBC. The last time they were at home was October 22nd.

A pair of schools that need a win go head-to-head on Saturday evening when the Blues welcome the Avalanche for a weekend match.
The Blues started hot this season winning their first four matches, but have cooled off and have lost four straight. In this skid they have not won more then one set in any of their matches and are looking for answers. This is their final weekend before the holiday break.
The Avalanche are also looking to turn things around following their bye week. In the month of November, they have lost three of their four contests, all of which were at home. They hit the road and pay a visit to Capilano this weekend.
