The Warriors are thrilled to add their final piece for the 2022-23 season, 6-foot-6 setter Evan Deighan who is transitioning into a middle blocker. Deighan plays club volleyball for the Durham Attack and will be taking Honours Arts.
“We are thrilled to have Evan commit to our university and volleyball program,” said head coach Shayne White. “Evan is long, athletic and with this past experience as a setter this will make him a very skilled middle as we keep transitioning him to the middle blocker position. Getting a middle with good skill and length compliments our recruiting class very well. We have a lot of growth and teaching to do, but we have fantastic character, athleticism and leadership coming into our program.”
“I am incredibly excited to have officially signed with the Waterloo Men’s volleyball team,” said Deighan. “It is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of such a great school and athletic program. University of Waterloo has outstanding reputations both athletically and academically, and I cannot wait to be a part of these prestigious programs.”
