Passing of a PEI Volleyball legend…
Volleyball PEI regrets to inform our members that we have lost another one of our valuable members recently with the passing of Phil O’Neill..……..
Phi has been a mainstay in our volleyball community for over 50 years as an athlete, coach, administrator, and builder.
Phil was inducted into our Volleyball PEI Hall of Fame in 2019 and is well know for his work with the Cavendish Beach Volleyball Tournament which ran successfully for over 25 years, as Coach of past Canada Games teams, as organizer and coach of the UPEI club team, as organizer and coach of the current Red Mudd 14U girls volleyball program, and as past President and Board Member of Volleyball PEI.
Most would also be familiar with Phil and his joyous personality as he was a frequent viewer of PEISAA and Varsity matches, always with his trusty camera in hand, ensuring we always had volleyball action shots to post. We will miss him dearly….
Please join us in expressing our sympathies to his family and friends at this time….

The Board of Directors of Volleyball PEI
