March 01, 2023: Volleyball Canada is pleased to launch the virtual athlete identification process for Team Canada 2023 Men’s U21 today until the end of the month.
Athletes selected (born in 2003 or later) from across Canada will demonstrate the attributes consistent with high performance and the potential to compete for Canada’s Men’s Senior National Team in the future.
The program will be based at the Centre Sportif de Gatineau, QC, and is offered from May 19 to July 17, 2023 under the direction of head coach Head Coach: Arnd (Lupo) Ludwig, and assistants Michael Stephens and Sean McKay. Athletes will participate in a full-time daily training environment that focuses on technical and tactical development in preparation for the 2023 U21 NORCECA Championship and the 2023 U21 World Championship.

April 20 – Invitations sent out to selected athletes
April 30 – Deadline for invitation acceptance
May 19 – Arrival of pre-selected athletes in Gatineau
May 22-26 – Selection camp
May 27-31 – Training in Gatineau, QC
June 1-11 – U21 Norceca Championship – Cuba
June 14-July 4 – Training in Gatineau
July 5-16 – FIVB U21 World Championship – Manama, Bahrain
