The Beach Coaching Extravaganza will offer coaches of all levels several unique opportunities including expert presentations, on-court demonstration of drills, an athlete panel as well as observing a Summer Next Gen National Team Training session at the High Performance Centre in Toronto.
Presenters include National Team Next Gen coach Josh Nichol, Darren O’Neil, director and head of coach and athlete development at OnPoint Beach Volleyball, OVA president and Leaside Volleyball Club coach Katie Hutchinson, and National Team Athletes (TBA).
“The goal of the event is to provide tools and tips and assist coaches of all levels in improving their teaching and learning skills, bring you behind the scenes of the Team Canada program, build a positive training environment, help the athletes they are working with develop and enhance their volleyball, social and mental skills,” explains Nichol.
Coaches are encouraged to submit questions before the sessions as well as to ask questions during the event.
There will be no live stream of this clinic, however, the presentations will be uploaded to the Volleyball Canada Coaching Centre shortly after the event. Note: Photography or videography of any kind will not be permitted at this event without written consent from Volleyball Canada
