In the final match of U SPORTS Men’s Volleyball Championship quarterfinals, the No. 1 Sherbrooke Vert er Or handed the No. 8 Guelph Gryphons a 3 set defeat (25-23, 25-15, 25-17).

The Gryphons led through the first until the Vert et Or fought back and took the set. Sherbrooke followed the first set up with two more definitive wins.
Sherbrooke ended the game with a .400 hitting percentage to Guelph’s .197. They also had five service aces.
Yoan David paved the way for the Vert et Or with 15 points from 12 kills, two blocks, and one service ace. First Team All-Canadian Zachary Hollands also added seven points, and five digs.
Jonathan Pickett amassed 13.5 points for the Gryphons with 12 kills, one block, and one service ace. Daniel Pickett led the way defensively with seven digs.
In their next matchup, Sherbrooke will head to the semifinals and take on the Queen’s Gaels on Friday at 6pm. Guelph will face TWU in the consolation semifinals on Saturday at 6pm.
