KINGSTON, Ontario – The Trinity Western Spartans opened the Queen’s University Smola Cup tournament with a hard-fought five-set victory over the McMaster Marauders Friday night at the Queen’s ARC in Kingston, Ont. TWU Head Coach Adam Schriemer
“The first two sets were really high-level volleyball between two really good teams, the high level really showed in the serving. Our guys like Henry [Rempel] (Swift Current, Sask.) and Kaden [Schmidt] (Mississauga, Ont.) really brought the heat from the service line which made it a really high-level game. As the match went on both teams were very fatigued and got tired quickly and on our side, we managed that fatigue really well. I think the challenge for us moving forward is how we can still play sharp even though we are getting tired.”
