SPARTAN MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK | JACKSON CORNEIL

LANGLEY, British Columbia– Trinity Western’s Jackson Corneil (Surrey, B.C.) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after hitting at .625 percent, with 12 kills, seven blocks, and three service aces to help lead the Spartans to a weekend split with the Brandon Bobcats this past weekend at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.
 
On Friday night the third-year hit at an impressive .778 with seven kills and no errors to go with two blocks and an ace to help lead the Spartans to a 3-1 win over the Bobcats.
 
On Saturday night the political science student finished with five kills, five blocks, and two aces while hitting at .429 in the Spartans 3-2 loss to the Bobcats.
 
The No. 8 Spartans, who are 9-7, will head on the road this week to take on the Thompson Rivers WolfPack Thursday and Friday in Kamloops, B.C. Both games can be seen live on Canada West TV.
