SPARTAN FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK | KAYLEE PLOUFFE

LANGLEY, British Columbia– Trinity Western’s Kaylee Plouffe (Sherwood Park, Alta.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after averaging 3.83 kills per set, and 1.33 blocks per set while hitting at .645 percent in leading the Spartans to two wins over the Brandon Bobcats this past weekend at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.
 
On Friday night the third-year had 15 kills, with four blocks and an ace, while hitting at an impressive .722 to lead the Spartans to a 3-0 win over the Bobcats.
 
On Saturday night the human kinetics student finished with eight kills, and four blocks while hitting at .538 to give the Spartans a 3-0 win and a weekend sweep of the Bobcats.
 
The No. 3 Spartans, who are 14-2, will head on the road this week to take on the Thompson Rivers WolfPack Thursday and Friday in Kamloops, B.C. Both games can be seen live on Canada West TV.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women’s rugby sevens.
