KINGSTON, Ont. (Feb. 20, 2022) – Queen’s Women’s Volleyball defeated the Trent Excalibur 25-19, 25-13, 25-17 Sunday at the ARC, sweeping both games over the weekend and improving their record 6-2.
The Gaels jumped to third in the OUA East standings, behind the Toronto Varsity Blues (8-0) and York Lions (7-1).
Teah Cook (Georgetown, Ont.) led Queen’s with a game-high 14 kills and 11 digs, while also recording one block.
Amanda Siksna (Markham, Ont.) finished with three aces for the Gaels in the win while Shea Baker (Vancouver, B.C.) had 35 assists.
Queen’s will take their two-game winning streak into a home-and-home series with the RMC Paladins next weekend. The Gaels will host the Paladins Friday at 5:30 at the ARC before visiting RMC on Sunday at 2 p.m.
