Queen’s Women’s Volleyball fell to the McMaster Marauders in five sets (25-27, 23-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-9) Saturday in Hamilton, Ont.
The Gaels took the first two sets and were one set from victory before the Marauders fought back and won the last three sets for the five-set win.
Aimee Lemire led Queen’s with 15 kills while Lauren Mellon and Rachael Meilikhan recorded 10 kills each. Mellon also had five aces in the match.
Shea Baker finished with a team-high 29 assists while adding nine digs. And Vivian Zanutel finished with 14 digs.
With the loss, the Gaels’ record fell to 5-3. Queen’s sits fifth in the OUA standings heading into the winter break.
