Queen’s Women’s Volleyball dropped a tight five-set match to the McMaster Marauders 3-2 (25-16, 19-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-12) Friday night in Hamilton, Ont.
Mary Stewart and Hannah Duchesneau led the Gaels in kills in the losing effort with 14 each, while Stewart also had a game-high 16 digs.
Lauren Mellon finished with six kills and a game-high seven blocks. And Shea Baker finished with a game-high 30 assists for Queen’s in the loss.
With the result, the Gaels’ record fell to 5-2 while McMaster improved to 7-2 with the win.
Queen’s and McMaster will close out their weekend doubleheader Saturday at 6 p.m. in Hamilton.
