Queen’s Men’s Volleyball lose in five sets to McMaster

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball lost 3-2 (25-23, 28-30, 19-25, 25-22, 10-15) to the McMaster Marauders Saturday night in Hamilton, Ont.

After taking the first set, the Gaels dropped the second set in extra points. They fought back to force a fifth and deciding set after the Marauders took the third set, but ultimately fell to the undefeated Marauders in a close match that went the distance.

Erik Siksna led the Gaels with team-highs in kills with 19 and digs with 13. He also added three blocks in the win.

Cole Duncanson finished with eight kills and seven blocks while Chris Zimmerman recorded 42 assists in the loss.

With the loss, the Gaels’ record fell to 3-4 heading into the winter break. Queen’s is currently eighth in the OUA standings.
