Queen’s Men’s Volleyball traveled crosstown Friday night to take on the RMC Paladins, coming away with a 3-1 win (21-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-18) to grow their winning streak to three games.
After falling in a tight first set, the Gaels reeled off three straight set wins to take the match against their crosstown rivals. With the win, Queen’s improved their record to 6-6 and the Gaels now sit eighth in the OUA standings.
Erik Siksna had another strong game for the Gaels with a game-high 15 kills, four aces, and 10 digs.
Zig Licis finished with 12 kills and two blocks while Cole Duncanson added 10 kills and four blocks in the win.
Chris Zimmerman finished with a game-high 39 assists and nine digs while Shane Gabel added 10 digs and two assists.
The Gaels are off the rest of the weekend and return to the court next weekend, hosting the Nipissing Lakers Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC). Tickets for both games can be purchased here.
