1: TRU will look to keep their perfect home record alive after they swept the Brandon Bobcats in their first weekend inside the TCC
2: For the first time in WolfPack history there will be a beer garden and hot food being served inside the TCC all year long. Kid’s Club presented by McDonald’s is also back, featuring muffins, yogurt and colouring sheets.
3: The WolfPack are 3-1 in last their last four meetings with the Wesmen, including back-to-back 3-0 sweeps the last time these teams met in the TCC.
Weekend Story
KAMLOOPS – Starting the year with a record of 2-2, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women’s volleyball team will be back in the TCC this weekend.
Hosting the Winnipeg Wesmen at 7:15 p.m. on Friday and 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, TRU will be looking to keep their perfect home record alive, after they started the year with two-straight wins over the Brandon Bobcats inside the TCC.
TRU is coming off a difficult road trip last weekend that saw them drop a pair of games to the Manitoba Bisons. After struggling in the opening game, the ‘Pack pushed the Bisons on Sunday but were unable to pick up a set victory.
Winnipeg (3-1) has gotten off to a strong start to their season. The Wesmen opened their season with a sweep of the MacEwan Griffins before splitting with the reigning CW silver medallist Alberta Pandas last time out. Winnipeg’s Emma Parker was named the CW women’s volleyball Player of the Week after putting up 52 kills on the weekend.

38: It’s been a balanced attack to lead TRU so far this year. Ema Palkovicova and Brooklyn Olfert lead the team with 38 kills apiece.
65: The Wesmen’s 65 kills in a five-set loss to the Pandas is the most recorded by a Canada West team this season.
10.25: Directing the Wesmen offence, Portia Switzer leads the conference with 10.25 assists-per-set.
