Stephen Maar started training with Volleyball Canada 21 years old. He has represented Canada in volleyball numerous times, including for the Youth National Team, Select Team, Junior National Team, and Senior National Team. Stephen grew up in Aurora, ON, and attended nearby Bill Crothers Secondary School in Markham, ON. He continued playing at McMaster University, where he studied History & Political Science. Stephen says his most influential role models are his parents. When he isn’t playing volleyball, Stephen enjoys reading, comedy movies, and spending time with friends and family.
