KAMLOOPS – The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men’s volleyball team continued their strong start to the preseason by picking up their third win in the last three days.

Facing the MacEwan Griffins in Prince George, TRU captured a 3-1 victory inside the CNC Gym.

Matthew Hamilton led the way offensively for the ‘Pack with 10 kills, three blocks and an ace. Rylan Ibbetson racked up eight kills and digs to go along with two blocks while rookie Deakon Anderson thrilled his hometown PG crowd with six kills, two blocks and three aces while also going on a nine-point servicing run in the fourth set.

“Was another solid performance for our team in front of a good crowd,” said head coach Pat Hennelly. “Walker Sodaro made his first start with the ‘Pack and picked up 22 assists with two aces and three blocks. I think both teams will be a bit sharper tomorrow night.”

These same two teams will make it two games in as many nights tomorrow when they face off in the UNBC Gym in a game scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
