No. 2 Badgers remain perfect through 10 games

ST. CATHARINES – The No. 2 Brock Badgers improved to 10-0 after concluding its Ontario University Athletics (OUA) women’s volleyball series with the Nipissing Lakers on Sunday, Jan. 8.
 
The Badgers defeated the Lakers 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-14) for their sixth regular season sweep.
 
Brock’s trio of second-year outside hitters – Sadie Dick, Emily Foest and Madison Chimienti – each scored seven kills.
 
Chimienti led all players with four aces including eight digs.
 
Senior setter Sara Rohr registered 19 assists while Aleiah Torres made seven digs and dished out five assists.
 
Brock recorded one of its best kill percentages of the season at a clip of .321 (54-19-109). In the weekend series, the Badgers limited the Lakers to their lowest hitting rates of the campaign at .029 and .043 in back-to-back meetings.
 
Up next, the Badgers prepare to host the McMaster Marauders on Friday, Jan. 13 at Bob Davis Gymnasium. The first serve is at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on University Tickets. Stream the game online on OUA.tv.
