No. 2 Badgers keep rolling with win at Toronto

ST. CATHARINES – Another win for the undefeated Badgers, Brock women’s volleyball knocked off the Toronto Varsity Blues in straight sets in Toronto on Friday night. Set scores for the match were 25-17, 25-20, 25-9.
 
The victory is the third consecutive straight sets win for the No. 2 nationally ranked Badgers who improve to 7-0 on the season so far.
 
Madison Chimienti once again led in scoring for Brock with a game-high 12 points from nine kills and three service aces. Her time at the service line was most impressive in the first set when she delivered a service run which helped to build a 10-2 lead.

Also producing strong games and strong service runs, Emily Foest and Gigi Markotic finished with 11 and nine points apiece. Foest tallied 10 kills and one service ace adding 11 digs defensively, while Markotic recorded five kills and four aces.
 
Brock setter Sara Rohr registered 26 assists, while Aleiah Torres was sensational defensively tying her current season-high of 26 digs which was previously reached in the Badgers five set win at Waterloo.
 

For the Varsity Blues, Hope Kotun topped all players with six kills and three solo blocks for nine points.
 
Brock remains in Toronto where they will conclude their fall semester versus the Varsity Blues tomorrow evening. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
