Men’s Volleyball win OUA Bronze Medal Game, book spot at U SPORTS Championship

KINGSTON, Ont. (March 19, 2022) – The Queen’s Gaels are heading to the U SPORTS Men’s Volleyball Championship,

Queen’s defeated the Brock Badgers (25-23, 26-24, 25-21) in the OUA Bronze Medal Game Saturday at the ARC to earn a spot in the U SPORTS Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Erik Siksna (Markham, Ont.) led the Gaels with 13 kills and eight digs while Derek Chiang (Markham, Ont.) finished with 10 kills, eight digs, and an assist.

Dax Tompkins (Tiverton, Ont.) finished with five blocks and Benjamin Moffatt (Kingston, Ont.) recorded 33 assists in the win for Queen’s.

The Gaels will return to the court for the U SPORTS Men’s Volleyball Championship, hosted by the University of Manitoba, from March 25-27.
