Men’s Volleyball earns comeback win over York to open doubleheader

The Gaels trailed by one set twice against the Lions, but came back to win the final two sets and win their fourth straight game. Queen’s improved their record to 9-1 with the win, and remained in second in the OUA East Division standings. The Lions’ record fell to 2-8 with the loss.

Erik Siksna (Markham, Ont.) led Queen’s with 17 kills, five aces, three blocks, and five digs.

Zig Licis (Louisville, CO) added 10 kills, four aces, two assists, and six digs in the win, and Julian Krygel (Dundas, Ont.) finished with 10 kills and five blocks.

Liam Wilson (Toronto, Ont.) had a game-high 40 assists in the winning effort.

The Gaels return to the court to close out their doubleheader with the Lions Saturday at 8 p.m.
