It was Brazil’s first set loss of VNL 2021 and Canadian Sharone Vernon-Evans (Scarborough, ON) led all scorers with 24 points today.

“In the first two sets, it was very difficult because Brazil were serving very well and they are a team that doesn’t make many mistakes, so it’s really hard to play against them. If you make mistakes you are going to lose,” said 2016 Olympian Nicholas Hoag (Sherbrooke, QC). “After the second set we really played well. In the end, the small details made the difference.”
