VIU Mariners @ Camosun Chargers – Thursday February 9. 6:00pm | WATCH HERE
It’s the first of a home-and-home on a rare Thursday night when the Mariners visit the Chargers in the Island Rivalry. They are also the top two teams in the Conference.
The Mariners juggernaut continues to roll this season and remain undefeated. In their 16 matches this year they have lost only seven sets and have been pushed to a fifth set just once. Of those 16 wins, 10 of them have been by a clean sweep. They are the top ranked team in the country and will host the 2023 CCAA National championship in March looking for their fifth straight gold.
The Chargers are also coming into Thursday night hot. They have won four straight, three of them by the sweep. As a matter of fact, since the calendar turned to 2023, they have lost just once in six matches. Thursday night is their final home match of the season followed by three straight on the road to wrap up the campaign before the PACWEST championship tournament.
