The women’s event winners were the Netherlands’, with Brecht Piersma/Wies Bekhuis and Emi van Driel/Kirster Bröring prevailing in three golden sets before topping Czechia in two matches in the final.
However, as neither of the teams met the performance requirements determined by the Dutch Olympic Committee (making it to the quarterfinals of a Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Elite16 event), the Netherlands decided to not confirm their wish to use the quota place, which was then reallocated to Czechia.
