GAME FLOW
The undefeated Marauders proved tonight why they are just that, taking control of the court from the opening serve. The Lancers had some key plays and kept themselves in the game during the opening set but made some costly errors that led to a 25-19 McMaster set win.
A huge block from Dami Alalade opened the second and invigorated the host team. Windsor took a 10-5 lead before the Marauders served their way back into the game, taking the set 25-17.
In the third, the visitors continued to dominate the floor building a quick 6-1 lead. The Lancers battled back and capitalized on a number of Marauder errors midway through the set to make it a four-point game, 13-9. Down 16-10 at the technical, the blue and gold came out strong to bring the game within one at 17-16, forcing the Marauders to call a timeout. Tied a 22-all, it was anybody’s game as the team’s continued to trade points back and forth to the end, with the Marauders coming out on top 25-23.
