Karym Coleman had a phenomenal weekend for the Briercrest Clippers, as he led his team to two big wins in Medicine Hat and achieved an outstanding career milestone for himself while also helping his head coach to another career milestone in the process!
On Friday the 4th-year right side hitter tallied 14 kills and led his team to a 3-0 win, which was also the 200th career ACAC regular season win for Briercrest Men’s Volleyball Head Coach, Nigel Mullan!
Then, on Saturday, Master of Arts in Leadership & Management student added to his ACAC-leading totals with another 20 kills in the 3-1 win! Part-way through the match on Saturday, Coleman reached the incredible milestone of 1000 career ACAC regular season kills, and he was also honored as ACAC Player of the Game! With the two-win weekend, the Clippers also moved up to third place in the ACAC South standings.
Coach Mullan spoke about his star attacker from Belize City, Belize: “Karym has continued to perform at a high level for us night in and night out. He has consistently shown a desire to see the program succeed and worked hard to do what he can to help the program compete. Along with his work on the floor, he has also made a difference off the floor, with his work with the youth in our community.”
