A pair of 4-2 schools will battle this weekend when the Mariners visit the Blues at Capilano.

After winning their first three to open the season the Mariners have won only once in their last three matches and won’t be back at home until the New Year, playing their final four matches of 2023 on the road, beginning at Capilano. Aimee Skinner leads their offence with 60 kills on the season.

The Blues had their four-match winning streak snapped last weekend by Douglas, who beat them in back-to-back matches. They are at home this weekend and next before the holiday break and will look to take advantage. On the offensive side Nnya Mbaoma leads the way with 66 kills.

For the next two weeks the Bearcats are at home and are trying to build momentum after a pair of thrilling five-set victories at the College of the Rockies. They have six points, just four back of top spot in the standings.

The Chargers on the other hand split last weekend with VIU but have still lost four of their last five matches. They stay on the road this weekend playing their fifth and sixth consecutive matches away from PISE. Despite their 2-4 record, Erica Bolink has been outstanding with 82 kills.
