Golden Bears remain in top spot, will play for Canada West title this week

The Alberta Golden Bears (22-2, 4-0) remain atop the U SPORTS men’s volleyball playoff power ranking, having held down the top spot in the weekly ranking all season. No. 2 Sherbrooke (15-1, 4-0), No. 3 McMaster (18-2, 2-0) and No. 4 Trinity Western (18-6, 4-0) all held steady after the last week of conference playoff action.

No. 5 Windsor (15-5, 2-0) jumped up two spots this week after winning the OUA semifinal against No. 9 Toronto (13-7, 1-1).

No. 6 Montréal (11-5, 2-2) and No. 7 Saskatchewan (17-7, 2-3) both dropped a spot this week. No. 8 Calgary (12-12, 2-2), No. 9 Toronto (13-7, 1-1), and No. 10 York (13-7, 1-1) kept their spots.

The last of the conference finals are held this week as No. 1 Alberta faces No. 4 Trinity Western in the Canada West final on Friday, while No. 7 Saskatchewan will play No. 8 Calgary in the Canada West bronze medal match. No. 9 Toronto will see No. 10 York in the OUA bronze medal match on Friday, while No. 3 McMaster will face No. 5 Windsor in the OUA conference final on Saturday.

NOTE: Only teams still participating in conference playoffs or qualified for the U SPORTS championship are eligible to be listed in the U SPORTS playoff power rankings.
