Lucy Glen-Carter is the U SPORTS player of the week in women’s volleyball as her solid performance helped the Dalhousie Tigers clinch their place in the AUS playoffs. With back-to-back wins over Saint Mary’s, the Tigers are now tied with the Huskies for second place in the conference. Glen-Carter started off the weekend strong with 22.5 points in their 3-1 win on Friday, highlighted by 21 kills, one ace and an assisted block and 10 digs. The 5th year senior had 14.5 points from 11 kills, three aces and one assisted block in their second matchup on Saturday while recording eight digs.
The Dalhousie Tigers will play their second to last match of the season in Wolfville, N.S., where they will face the Acadia Axewomen on Thursday and they close out the regular season on Saturday at home to Acadia.
Zachary Hollands, Sherbrooke

Zachary Hollands is the U SPORTS player of the week in men’s volleyball following an electric performance over the weekend. The third-year engineering major from Sherbrooke, Que., helped solidify the Vert et Or’s spot at the top of the national rankings as they collected two more wins against the UNB Reds last weeken. Hollands shined on Friday night with 19 points in a tight 3-2 win, he collected 18 kills, four digs and a solo block. In their second matchup, he picked up where he left off the night before as he scored 22.5 points from 21 kills, one service ace and one assisted block while adding six digs.
The Sherbrooke Vert et Or will be back in action in their last clash of the regular season as they are travelling to Quebec City to take on the Laval Rouge et Or, on Saturday.
