Gaels win in straight sets to sweep Trent

KINGSTON, Ont. (Nov. 11, 2023) – Queen’s Women’s Volleyball remained undefeated on the season, defeating the Trent Excalibur 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-10) Saturday night at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC). With the win, the Gaels sweeped the Excalibur in their home-opening weekend series.

Hannah Duchesneau (Sharon, Ont.), Mary Stewart (Uxbridge, Ont.) and Aimee Lemire (Paris, Ont.) finished tied for the team lead with a game-high nine kills each. Stewart also had three aces while Duchesneau contributed two.

Kennedy Millin (St. Catharines, Ont.) led the way with 25 assists while Kristine Boileau (Waterloo, Ont.) topped the stats with seven digs and Lauren Mellon (Oakville, Ont.) had a game-high four blocks.

With the win, the Gaels improved their record to 4-0 on the season. Queen’s will remain at home for next weekend, hosting the Brock Badgers on Saturday, Nov. 18 and Sunday, Nov. 19 at the ARC.
