Gaels lose road contest to Toronto in four sets

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball fell 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 27-25, 25-17) to the Toronto Varsity Blues Friday night in Toronto, Ont.

After prevailing in the first set, the Gaels dropped three straight sets, with the third set going to extra points.

Reed Venning (Courtice, Ont.) led Queen’s in both kills, with nine, and aces, with four.

Chris Zimmerman (Prince George, B.C.) had a game-high 36 assists while Lhexen Rabit (Hamilton, Ont.) finished with 16 digs, also a game-high.

With the loss, the Gaels’ record fell to 7-2. Queen’s will close out their weekend doubleheader with the Varsity Blues Saturday afternoon in Toronto.
