Gaels fall to York in OUA quarterfinals

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball fell to the York Lions 3-1 (21-25, 25-15, 24-26, 24-26) Saturday night in Toronto, Ont. in the OUA quarterfinals.

After a tight first set, the Gaels responded with a big win in the second set to even the game. Queen’s was edged in extra points in both the third and fourth set to fall 3-1.

Erik Siksna led Queen’s with 13 kills, five aces, seven digs, and three assists.

Zig Licis recorded 10 kills, Reed Venning led the team with seven blocks, and Chris Zimmerman recorded 35 assists.

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball finished the regular season with an 11-9 record before getting eliminated by York in the quarterfinals.
