Gaels drop road contest to Varsity Blues

Queen’s Women’s Volleyball opened the second half of their regular season with a tough 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-22) loss to the Toronto Varsity Blues Friday night in Toronto, Ont.

Hannah Duchesneau (Sharon, Ont.) had a strong game for the Gaels in the loss, leading Queen’s offence with nine kills while adding 12 digs. Mary Stewart (Uxbridge, Ont.) added eight kills and a team-high 13 digs, while Aimee Lemire (Paris. Ont.) also had eight kills and Shea Baker (Vancouver, B.C.) finished with 24 assists.

With the loss, the Gaels’ record fell to 7-2. Queen’s will close out their weekend doubleheader with the Varsity Blues Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Watch the game live on OUA.tv.
