Gaels beat RMC in second straight game to start season

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball improved their record to 2-0, sweeping the RMC Paladins in their season-opening weekend series with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-14) win over their crosstown rivals Saturday.

Erik Siksna (Markham, Ont.) had another strong game for the Gaels, finishing with a game-high 11 kills with four aces and three digs.

Izaak Zabjek (Cambridge, Ont.) led Queen’s with five aces while Chris Zimmerman (Prince George, B.C.) finished with 22 assists.

The Gaels will return to the court next weekend, hosting the Trent Excalibur in a weekend doubleheader on Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11.
