The Camosun Chargers are off to the gold medal match on the women’s side after a three-set sweep of the Douglas Royas; 26-24, 25-21 and 25-19.
Despite the score the match was very evenly played with the Chargers benefiting from a few mistakes by the young Royals. Their offence was balanced with several players making contributions including Hannah May, Erica Bolink and Daelyn Jeffers coming off the bench.
May was named the Player of the Match with eight kills unofficially while Payton Henderson was named the Royals Player of the Match after a terrific semi-final.
Following the match, Ryan Watters talked with Chargers head coach Brent Hall.
