LANGLEY, British Columbia – Kaylee Plouffe (Sherwood Park, AB) has been named Canada West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week after leading the Trinity Western Spartans to a weekend sweep of the Saskatchewan Huskies.
The third-year human kinetics student put up incredible numbers during a pair of 3-1 wins over a scrappy Saskatchewan Huskies side over the weekend. The middle struck for 32 kills over the two games, adding four aces while hitting for an impressive .491 hitting percentage. She also added eight blocks and is a key reason the Spartans remain undefeated at 10-0 as the season nears the winter semester break. TWU is the only unbeaten team remaining in Canada West.
The Spartans will now be traveling to Kamloops, B.C. to take on the Thompson Rivers WolfPack for the final matches of the fall semester. Match times are set for 5:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. and can be seen live on Canadawest.tv.
