2022 Canada Games Indoor Male Update:
The NLVA would like to announce the new coaching Staff – Head Coach Richard Christopher and Assistant Coach/Mentor Coach John Slauenwhite
With the change in dates and for the Canada Games from 2021 to 2022 we have a change in coaching staff for the Indoor Male Program. The NLVA would like to thank Nathan Wareham for his work with the Indoor male program.
The new coaching staff have been working since October building a plan moving forward for the Male Indoor Program for 2022.
Head Coach: Richard Christopher

Richard is a National award-winning Physical Education teacher. He has helped develop male volleyball in Newfoundland over the last 5 years and is very excited to lead our NL male athletes both on and off the court at the 2022 Canada Games in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Current team: Memorial University of Newfoundland Women’s Volleyball
Past Experience: Led the MUN Sea~Hawks to Back to Back AUS Championship Match Appearances, CCAA Women’s Volleyball National Silver Medal, Multiple provincial team, high school, and club championship winning teams.
Coaching Awards: AUS Coach of the Year (2015-16), 2011 NW Alberta Team of the Year Award
