Brock clinches second straight win to begin season

The Brock Badgers men’s volleyball team overpowered the RMC Paladins for the second straight game.

With another three-set win (25-12, 25-18), the Badgers continued their strong start to the season with the win on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Kingston.

Brock once again proved their defensive prowess, registering five blocks.

Fourth-year outside hitter Kylar Code shined, notching 11 kills on a .474 hitting percentage with both Devin Cooney and Nanle Yusuf each earning eight kills.

The Badgers opened the match off in the first set with a total hitting percentage of .476 and finished almost just as strong with a .440 in the third and deciding set.

In the second set, Brock managed a hitting percentage of .292.

Second year setter Adam Shapcott performed exceptionally, building off his game from yesterday with 26 assists.

Up next, the Badgers will face the Queen’s Golden Gaels in the home opener at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. You can watch the game live on OUA.tv. Last time out, Brock fell to Queens 3-1 (27-25, 17-25, 25-27, 20-25) on Mar. 1, 2024 in the OUA semifinal.
