Published on

The Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team fell to the TMU Bold 3-1 (20-25, 18-25, 25-18, 20-25) Saturday (Nov. 12) afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blues were led by second year outside hitter, Julia Murmann who had 19-points, 14 digs and one ace in the game.

Faced with a tough start, the Blues fell in the first two sets 25-20 and 25-18, trailing in both occasions.

The third set gave the Blues their first lead and started off with a 4-0 run. It was a battle with the Bold as the two teams stayed tied for the majority of the set. After a kill by first year outside hitter Olivia Zhu, the Blues were able to go on a run and finish off the third 25-18.

Beginning the fourth set, the Blues were able to secure the first point of the set. They were able to delay the Bold set point 15-23 to 19-23, but ultimately fell 20-25.

Zhu also finished the game with 10 points and eight digs.

UP NEXT: The Blues return to action on Saturday, November 19 as they play against the Waterloo Warriors at the Goldring Centre Kimel Family Field House. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
