Competing in the annual Humber Cup, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team dropped all four matches in the three-day tournament.
Continuing their preseason back-and-forth with the York Lions, the Blues fell 3-2 in a third consecutive match up with the fellow Toronto-based squad to open the tournament on Friday (Sept. 27). The next day, U of T fell 3-0 versus the Nipissing Lakers in an early morning showdown, before another five-set contest saw them finish just short in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Fanshawe Falcons. Finishing off the tournament on Sunday (Sept. 29) morning, the Blues dropped a 3-1 decision versus Cegep Limoilou.
The Blues will continue their busy preseason schedule visiting the TMU Bold on Friday (Oct. 4) night. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
