Aboriginal Apprentice Coach Program for the 2022 Canada Summer Games

November 30, 2020 (Yellowknife, NT) – The Aboriginal Apprenticeship Coach Program is a great opportunity for coaches who want to learn and get certified in high-performance volleyball coaching. The apprentice coach will be attending the 2022 Canada Summer Games. Please review the eligibility and requirements for this program in the link below.

The objective of the program is to:
 
• Build coaching capacity within Aboriginal communities
• Provide aboriginal apprentice coaches with domestic multi-sport games exposure
• Provide Aboriginal apprentice coaches with professional development and learning opportunities to prepare them for high level coaching and ensure an increase in their level of NCCP certification to a minimum of Competition – Development, Trained
• Expose Aboriginal apprentice coaches to elite/high performance coaches; and
• Ensure Aboriginal apprentice coaches are prepared to handle a meaningful role during the Canada Games experience
 
The potential candidate must be motivated to learn and  to complete the required certifications.
